  1. How To Transfer Itunes Music To Mp3 Player?

How To Transfer Itunes Music To Mp3 Player?

Q: “I’ve purchased a bunch of music from iTunes and have enjoyed listening to them on my computer. But my portable music player is not an Apple iPod, so I can’t take my songs with me. I know that I can burn it but I don’t have a cd burner on my computer so I need a different method. Is there any way I can get around this unfair restriction and transfer my iTunes music to MP3 player?”

A: Music files from iTunes are DRM-protected. In order to play them on mp3 players other than iPod and iphone, you need a special program to help strip off the protection and convert the iTunes m4p, m4b, m4a music to mp3. I always use wondershare music converter. My friend introduced it to me. It can convert the songs from iTunes at very high speed.

Most of the files purchased from iTunes Store are DRM protected i.e. you can play them only on specific devices and computers. You cannot use the DRM protected files on any random computer or portable media player. And the music from iTunes store is usually either in MP4 or AAC format. This means all of the songs and videos you download from the iTunes store will only work on your iPod. If you want them on another MP3 player or Sony PSP, you cannot do it unless you transfer the files to MP3 format.

How to remove DRM from iTunes music?

As we known, Apple only allowed for new sales of iTunes Plus content without providing a cost-reduced upgrade path. That said, downloading upgraded DRM-free, 256K songs cost 30¢ each, about one-third the 99¢ price of a track purchased a la carte.

Although most people are not particularly happy about having to pay another 30¢ each for songs they already “owned” is there any other resolution? Yes, you get the right place! Today I would like to introduce one more easier and faster method to put iTunes music to mp3 player.

What you need is just iTunes and this DRM Removal Program – Wondershare Music Converter. You can download here for iTunes and Wondershare Music Converter.

Here is the step by step tutorial for the program:

Step 1: Free download Wondershare Music Converter install and run it.

Step 2: when come to the main interface, you can directly drag-drop target music file to the conversion window, or click the ‘Add’ button to import the target files.

Step 3: Choose the format you’d like to get. There is a list of output formats. If you want to edit them in Windows Movie Maker, I recommend you to select MP3 or WAV.

Step 4: And then click the start button, and the DRM removing process is beginning. After a while, the files are DRM-ripped. You can view your converted files by press the browse button.

Step 5: After conversion, now we can transfer the converted songs to your mp3 player. The non-DRM music can be transferred to another MP3 player easily.

Thanks for viewing this guide of transfer iTunes music to mp3. Now, let’s enjoy our clear music & videos in your mp3 player or other portable player freely and have a wonderful life.

Tips: This method works also for music video movie downloaded from other online stores like Windows Media Center, Zune Marketplace, Napster, Rhapsody, Nokia Music Store, Spiralfrog, Bearshare, eMusic, Puretracks, MusicGiants, CinemaNow Movielink, Amazon Unbox etc, as well as your home-made movie shot with camcorder or something else.

  3. What Is Rss?

    January 4, 2011 by admin

    What Is Rss?

    What is RSS?

RSS is an acronym for the de facto standard for syndicating Web content. An XML-based format used in many different ways to distribute many kinds of content, its initial (and still most widespread) use is as a news headline provider. Anyone who wants to share their Web site content with others can create RSS documents and register with an RSS “publisher,” and that content is expressly provided for others to use on other sites. The syndicated content can include much more than headlines, of course, and be in the form of a news feed, event listing, news summary, project status report, discussion forum excerpt or even a corporate annual report.

The acronym has been applied to different things, so the RSS term is most often understood to describe the process (syndicating content) than the underlying technology. When you hear someone mention “RSS,” the person may be referring to one or even all of the possible definitions, to wit:

    RDF (Resource Description Framework) Site Summary, which is numbered RSS 0.9 and 1.0;

Rich Site Summary, for RSS versions 0.91 and 1.0; and

    Really Simple Syndication. RSS 2.0.

For a time, which seems to have passed, people distinguished among the acronyms by understanding “RSS” to mean RDF Site Summary and/or Rich Site Summary. When speaking of Really Simple Syndication, however, most people in the know would call it “RSS 2.0,” rather than simply “RSS.”  It seems that the term is almost globally understood to mean Really Simple Syndication now. The most current version is still RSS 2.0 and it is fully backward compatible with RSS 0.91. Netscape initially developed RSS, but the RSS 2.0 specification was authored by Dave Winer of Userland fame.

    It’s what’s inside that counts

RSS 2.0 quickly became the definitive RSS version all due to its support for “enclosure tags.” These optional fields let publishers include links to files, which can be just about any common file format. Businesses have seized on this potential, and began including Flash tutorials, streaming audio, PDF documents, PowerPoint presentations, podcasts of meetings and marketing communications portfolios in their RSS distributions.

Many businesses have been slow to see the opportunities available with this, well, really simple tool. The power and flexibility with which RSS can be used is actually quite astonishing. Here are some excellent ways that businesses can use RSS:

PDF documents: You can “broadcast” meeting notes or other documentation as a PDF file included with your feed, allowing people quick access to information without dealing with possibly bulky e-mail attachments.

PPT Presentations: Presentations can also be distributed in a feed by use of the enclosure function. One tremendous benefit is that a PowerPoint presentation will not require presenters to lug a laptop around, as they can handle the presentation from an iPod, iPhone or other handheld device that can read RSS feeds.

Audio and video: Video files and links to streaming video are both possible with RSS, so lectures, live events and even music concerts can come to life right in the feed. Audio content is not limited to music, of course. “Podcasting” is term describing audio content that is in an RSS feed, and popular uses include teaching, talk shows and virtual “town halls” with varying levels of “speechifying.”

Images: RSS feeds from realty companies can display photos of homes to potential buyers. Realtors can copy a feed to a laptop (or smaller device) a lightweight catalog with them to show potential buyers at a moment’s notice.

Downloads: IT departments in large firms can perform software updates, including with the RSS feed “executable” or compressed files so that users can do the updates at the most convenient time.

    Into the future with RSS

Software “feed readers,” which have been incorporated into most major e-mail programs, are playing catch-up now, as the original news “aggregators” were designed for text-based material. As businesses and other creative users push the boundaries of RSS, reader developers continued releasing new versions to support the enclosures and attachments businesses were eager to supply.

FeedDemon is one of the most popular RSS readers, and added support for every kind of file enclosure in its latest release. Users can define a “safe list” to include certain types of files, like text documents, mp3s and PDFs. This automates the downloading of files listed as “safe” and constitutes a solid security measure, as it will prevent the automatic downloading of executable files containing malware.

RSS is a youngster as far as a communication medium, but businesses are pushing it along with real fervor and interest. Some businesses are satisfied with sending out monthly summaries or employee newsletters in an RSS feed, but those basic uses will not go far in reaping the true benefits of RSS. Keep an eye on other, more innovative companies as they develop and deploy incredibly useful and creative RSS feeds, for both internal and external communications. There’s a lot happening in this area, and it bears close watching.

Sun released VirtualBox 3.1.2, an update to the free virtualization software for Mac OS X, Windows, Linux, and Solaris. The update fixes bugs for these hosts, including for 3D video on Mac OS X. Sun calls 3.1.2 maintenance, whereas it referred to the previous version 3.1.0 as a major update. (See also Sun’s change log page.) If you’ve tried VirtualBox 3.1.2 please let us know.

Windows XP on Sun VirtualBox 2.1.2

Sun’s VirtualBox 3.1 can move a VM while it’s running

Sunday, December 6, 2009 — Sun has released VirtualBox 3.1, an update to its free virtualization software for Mac OS X (Intel Macs), Windows, Linux, and Solaris hosts. The new version includes several new features and several dozen bug fixes. A unique new feature is Teleportation, the ability to move a virtual machine over a network from one VirtualBox host to another — while the virtual machine is running. The two host computers can be different operating systems, such as a Mac and a PC. This is a feature that is unique.

Windows XP on Sun VirtualBox 2.1.2

Windows running virtual machines now get 2D acceleration. VirtualBox 3.1 does not have the 3D acceleration features of VMware Fusion 3 and Parallels Desktop 5, and cannot display Aero features of Windows 7 and Vista.

VirtualBox 3.1 adds the ability for users to restore virtual machine states from any previously saved “snapshot.” Previously, VirtualBox could only restore from the most recent snapshot. Storage and networking is more flexible: users can attach CD/DVD drives to an arbitrary IDE controller, and there can be more than one such drive. Users can also change the network attachment type while the virtual machine is running. There’s also experimental support for EFI.

For related stories, see VMware Fusion 3 beefs up support for Win 7, Snow Leopard, graphics, and performance, and Parallels fires back in virtualization wars with Desktop 5.

Sun VirtualBox 3.0 looks to multi-CPU server virtualization

Tuesday, June 30, 2009 — Today Sun Microsystems released VirtualBox 3.0 for Mac OS X, Windows, and Unix/Linux host systems. The new version of the virtualization platform adds support for symmetric multi-processing, enhanced graphics, and enhanced support for USB storage and iPhones. The new version can also now support Window 7 and Windows Server 2008 as both guest and host operating systems. (Snow Leopard is not yet supported.)

Sun said that VirtualBox 3.0 is suitable for running servers with heavy workloads due to the symmetric multiprocessing. Although most virtualization products support SMP, VirtualBox enables users to assign up to 32 virtual processors to a single virtual machine. A Sun representative said that users can designate up two twice as many virtual CPUs in a virtual machine as there are real processing cores in the computer. Competing virtualization products allow up to 4 virtual processors per virtual machine.

VirtualBox 3.0 adds some graphics support that other virtualization packages have had. This includes Microsoft Direct3D support for Windows guest operating systems, which is common in gaming. VirtualBox 3.0 also adds OpenGL support for several different guest operating systems.

  7. Can Translating Your Website Increase Your Business?

    January 4, 2011 by admin

Can Translating Your Website Increase Your Business?

If you have a global business, you probably already have an online presence by means of a website, a social networking profile, or something similar. Now, the Internet has users from all over the globe, and if you have noticed it on your website statistics, you know that many of these customers belong to countries that do not have English as their first language. Therefore, if your product or service can benefit these customers, you might want to consider presenting it to them in their native language.

For example, a content-based website or a website that drives all of its revenue through advertisements and affiliate links should definitely be available in a number of languages. After all, “5 cool things you can do with your iPhone” would be just as interesting for an English-speaking individual as it would be to a Frenchman who doesn’t speak English. In fact, not having such websites translated would be a bad strategic move on the part of their owners. Websites such as online retail stores; websites providing reviews of movies, restaurants, and hotels; and online tutorial-based websites can greatly benefit by getting their content translated and adding a new set of customers to their database. To give you an idea of how big this “new set” of customers is, here are some stats: as per Internet World stats, out of the top 20 Internet users, 17 countries are non-English speaking. Asia and Europe rank higher than North America when it comes to calculating Internet users in the world based on geographic regions. Although the Internet appears to be dominated by English-speaking users, you have millions of users who use other languages to surf the Internet. As per the Internet world stats, the top 3 languages used by users on the Internet are English, Chinese, and Spanish with Chinese and Spanish users totalling up to 384 million and 137 million respectively. These numbers are bound to further increase as Internet connectivity continues to improve all over the world.

Even if you consider just Chinese and Spanish users, we’re talking about over 500 million users you’re ignoring by not translating your content. Would you really want to miss your share of this giant pie that’s only growing bigger everyday? Of course, you can’t translate your website in every language available out there. The best way to understand what languages you can cater to would be to see if your website receives good traffic from any particular country. Another way to look at it would be to see if there is demand for your product or service in any country other than yours. If that’s the case, you can be sure there’s a considerably large crowd waiting to get acquainted with you — all you need is a good content translation and localization partner.

Small Business Marketing: Twitter – Tips To Make You A Twitter Expert

If you haven’t dipped your toe in the water with Twitter, you are missing the boat. Start now! It’s the perfect tool for branding, displaying thought leadership, promotion, fund raising, and even lead generation. An odd combination, I know, but if handled correctly, and with proper tweet etiquette (hereafter referred to as TE), all can be accomplished.

Below are key points to get you off and running:

    - Its not about “what are you doing” as their tag line says, as much as “what’s important to you”. 140 characters of pithy info on what you are reading, what trade events you are attending, what speakers you are learng from etc, to get at some pithy thinking and trends

-Share, comment, talk. It won’t work unless you participate in both directions. Tweet and respond to other tweets. Also proper TE. If you just take, but don’t give value, you will lose credibility and followers.

-The beauty of the retweet. Also known as “share the love”. Knowledge is best when shared. If you find posts that are of value to you, retweet them. The retweeter will be greatful, you will be providing further value to your followers, indicating your intelligence, and thought leadership as well as your generosity. It’s all good.

-The importance of your profile. I’m astounded by how many people either don’t have a profile description or don’t fill it out in a meaningful manner. The profile is key to letting people know why they should be following you, reading you, listening to you, and just caring about your tweets. It’s also branding, and therefore valuable marketing real estate. You can and should link to your website or blog for more credibility.

-Twitter backgrounds add to the branding. Have your background custom designed. It’s yet another piece of real estate for branding, establishing credibility and setting a tone for who you are.

-Have an objective. This is very important, perhaps most important. Twitter will be a silly waste of time unless you decide how you are going to use it. And we will all have to read about what you did over the weekend unless you do. If your objective is to create thought-leadership, then follow people who are meaningful in your field. If you are interested in branding, be sure your profile and background speak to your brand, and tweet on topics related to your field of expertise and your products and services. (but be very careful of the hard sell – not good TE)

Here are some very helpful Twitter tools:

-Tweetdeck, a way of organizing your tweets. Here also is a tutorial on how to use it – lots of info here.

-SocialOomph.com How to have presence on Twitter w/out sitting by the computer or your iPhone all day.

-TinyURL or bit.ly Since you only have 140 characters to work with, making a link smaller is very useful.

If you start with strong objectives, good marketing and pithy Tweets, you will be off to a great start

    Now, go play.
